
Search Methods
Always returns the first match alphebetically.
clock – will match "Clocks" by Coldplay
coldp - will match the first song by Coldplay
yel by co - will match "Yellow" by Coldplay
Matches tracks in the following order: name, artist, then album. Only matches the next category if there are no matching tracks in the previous one.
If the party shuffle is currently playing, Symphonic will not play the search result, but instead add it to the end of the shuffle. It will display a party shuffle icon when this occurrs.
Symphonic checks for new version updates when it is opened from the widget bar.
Clicking the guitar icon flips the widget. All the places for the "i" button looked ugly. Suggestions?
Playlist Commands
?pl - shows what playlist is currently playing
?pl [search term] – searches for the playlist and plays the first song
Commands
Question mark may be placed anywhere in the command. Commands may be lengthened (e.g. previous? instead of prev?)
info? - displays name and artist of current song
vol [0-100]? – sets iTunes’ volume to given percentage
rate [0-5]? - sets star rating of current track. omit number to view rating.
open? – opens iTunes
launch? – opens iTunes and closes main window
hide? – closes iTunes’ front window
quit? – quits iTunes
play? or pause? - same as pressing the play/pause button in iTunes
next? – skips to the next track
prev? – returns to the previous track
backtrack? – reposition to beginning of current track
length?, time?, or duration? – displays the length of the current track
date added? – displays the date the current track was added
genre? – displays the genre of the current track
kind? – displays the file type of the current track
album? – displays the album name of the current track
